PILGRIMS is an endeavor build around compelling friendship, brutal honesty and the twisted genius of one Brian Flechtner (Founder Quiver society, Burstgrimdren, ex-Warlord).
It can be said the truth is often in the margins but for pilgrims the truth is in the fine print: Flechtner is a father of five, wife of one, with a history degree and a penchant writing for writing songs that wax, wane and at time spin out of control like the dear pacific.
If you are lucky enough to stumble upon a Pilgrims show, (or wise enough to bring your friends), you will soon discover pilgrims is a post-classical or pre-rock & roll, heavy metal ensemble from the darkest corner of middle America that, on any given night, might just look like a lonely prophet standing on the corner worshiping the king or a kind hearted folk musician, outside a show shop, begging to get in but unable to scrounge up enough loose change.
Based out of SE Portland, if nothing else, Pilgrims is its own adventure.
